Some information about Shirley's Herbal Care.

Shirley’s Herbal Care is a range of hand-made skin care products made with home-grown organic herbs, developed by myself (Shirley) using traditional methods.

Having studied kinesiology and reflexology, and traditional herbal methods, I have always been inspired by the benefits of using herbs and their remedial ability.

Shirley's Herbal Care is a small family run business built up from just a few products sold on our local town market, to selling at several national farmers markets, craft fairs, shows, and expanding through international web site sales.

What makes Shirley's Herbal Care different?

All our herbs are home grown using organic and bio-dynamic methods and harvested by hand. These herbs have active ingredients which we transfer into a number of bases. This transfer is called an extraction. These extractions make our products unique.

In our Sensitive Skin Care Range and Dry Skin Care Range and all the lotions and oils in our other ranges are made with natural ingredients. to get the higher concentration of herb I need, in a few of the creams and ointments of our Dermatology and Minor Ailments ranges, I add a small amount of Vaseline (petroleum jelly) and Mineral Oil during my wax extraction. This of course is only one small part of these products and I am working to find an alternative that will give me the same concentration and hence the same results.
